Lürssen TIS

Luxury at Sea Level

The German superyacht craftsmen at Lürssen have a well-earned reputation for building some of the worlds most extraordinary private yachts in the world. With amenities such as a 12-meter infinity pool, a fully equipped gym, a Turkish Hammam, a detachable swim platform, hair salons, massage rooms, spas, as well as indoor and outdoor cinemas, the 111-meter TIS is their latest creation.
TIS was conceived with a classical approach, yet she still manages to surprise her guests with many intricate details found on board. Having taken on the entire design of the project; from the grand and timeless exterior to the opulent interiors, Winch Design is responsible for the “wow factor” of the yacht.
“The design brief was for TIS to feel light, fresh and open, but with a classical twist,” explains Lürssen. Thus, considering her beam of 16.85 metres and her 4,500 GT volume, an enormous space became the canvas on which the designers worked to create the magical ambience that the clients were after. The yacht was built to PYC classifications to accommodate up to 18 guests in comfort. The nine cabins are spread across three decks, ending at the ‘pièce de résistance’ – which is the grand suite on the upper deck.
Each of the eight guest suites are tastefully decorated to represent a unique geographical region from around the world. The Provence, China Seas, Russian Dacha and Tuscany suites are located in the lower deck, and the London, Paris, New York and Marrakech suites are situated on the main deck. A myriad of fine materials have been used in the construction of the cabins’ interiors, such as mother of pearl, 24-carat gold, mahogany, Calacatta Vogli marble, bamboo and silk.

The upper deck extends far beyond the panoramic forward-facing stateroom with its grand skylight. Inviting shades of cream, tranquil sage greens and precious metals make this one of the most relaxing areas on board. This suite also comes with a private hair and beauty salon, a separate massage room and two bathrooms. Also on board the TIS, is an intimate Parisian tea room that has been elaborately decorated with Louis XVI-inspired sofas and armchairs. Pastel hues of greens and pinks give this space an undeniably feminine atmosphere which is echoed in the curtain trims and scatter cushions.
Private balconies on either side of the stateroom provide direct access to the side deck as well as to the cosy outdoor lounge area. Guests can also board a helicopter for a speedy transfer to shore or neighbouring yacht in the vicinity from the helipad on the front deck.
TIS is powered by twin 3,200 kW engines with a top speed of 18 knots. She has a 7,000-nautical mile range that comes with her 12-knot cruising speed, making her a true ocean cruiser. To keep all those intricate decorations in place, she is also equipped with a sophisticated zero-speed stabiliser system which extends from the hull and can be engaged while underway or at anchor.
